10 Reasons Why John Cena Heel Turn Would Be ‘Best For Business’

2. Because There Is A Fine Line Between Love And Hate...

Another reason that babyfaces make the best heels is because they essentially betray the fans every night - and that betrayal is infuriating. Ever wondered why the person you hate most in the world is often a former friend or an ex partner? It is because you have to open your heart to that person and if that person in turn rips your heart out, then you are usually filled with legitimate, unavoidable resentment towards them. It€™s nature, its chemistry, its science...Or something. Viewers who have watched Cena work with disabled or dying kids (the one thorny issue with this argument, I must admit), or overcome diabolical odds solely by virtue of playing by the rules and hitting a fireman€™s carry at just the right moment, would have every right to hate the character just as passionately if he no longer cared about charity work (although that would probably be a step too far in my esteemed opinion) and acted like a bully and a scoundrel at every turn. That love could very easily become hate and that hate could, if coaxed, become a very profitable business venture for Vinny Mac.

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
