10 Reasons John Cena Must Win WWE Title At TLC

7. It Would Be A Shock As It Was Planned For Lesnar To Remain Champion Until WrestleMania 31

It was originally set that Brock Lesnar would remain the WWE Champion all the way up to WrestleMania 31, where he would finally be defeated by a heavily pushed Roman Reigns. However, with the emergency hernia surgery that has sidelined Reigns, these plans might be scrapped. The WWE needs to see how Reigns is once he returns to in ring action, before they push for this big match. It also seems the company may be a little hesitant at this time with Reigns, as they seem to be protecting him. Instead of having Reigns live in the ring, they have been conducting his last few interviews via satellite. This is a sign that they are trying to control the live crowds reaction to him. His last interview at the Survivor Series pay-per-view, it was reported that the crowd reaction was very mixed to Roman Reigns, very similar to the response that John Cena receives. While Reigns has the look and size that the WWE likes, there is still a lot he needs to work on when it comes to his promos and developing his charisma. His former Shield teammates, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, are both much more accomplished on the mic than Reigns. WWE may want to slow down his push when he does return, and develop his character further. Having built up Lesnar as this unstoppable champion, coming up with a believable opponent who can beat him at WrestleMania 31 is difficult. Other than John Cena, who currently on the roster matches up with a heel Lesnar? Remove the title from Lesnar, and he can now be matched up with another part time wrestler. Imagine a match against The Rock, or Steve Austin, or a rematch against The Undertaker. Those would all be big money draws, without having to use the WWE Championship.
