Part of the reason why WWE may be thinking about putting the belt back on John Cena, is because he hasn't held it in over fourteen months. That's a long time for a franchise star to be going without the gold. Can you imagine a Hogan or an Austin going without the title for that long? No. It is time that Cena got a spot his back, his turn was always coming around again sooner or later. Giving him the championship spot back for a while keeps his fans happy, and given that he is the wrestler with most fans, it makes sense for WWE to give him a run at least once a year.
