The sixteen time gimmick is just waiting to happen for John Cena, it has just been a matter of time. With the title picture now vacant, WWE have their opportunity to do the stunt. They can put the belt on Cena and make a huge deal about how this is the record equalling sixteenth title that puts Cena level with Ric Flair. That then puts them in a position to give him the seventeenth title reign in 2016, thus making him the greatest champion in wrestling history - at least in WWE's version of history. If WWE did do the sixteenth win at Survivor Series, expect ticker-tape from the rafters. It is going to be one of the "moments" of the year if it happens.
