Ok, so it's not exactly 100% true to say that the winner of the King Of The Ring, or beneficiary of a big push, should be new to the roster, but it's difficult to see how winning the tournament will change Wade Barrett's fortunes in WWE going forward. Making his debut on NXT in 2010, Barrett quickly proved to everyone that he was pretty damn handy on the microphone, a skill which led to him being installed as the ring leader of The Nexus, a group born out of the developmental style of the original NXT program. Fans have been exposed to 5 years of Barrett on WWE television, and it's become pretty clear that the promotion seem unsure whether or not the guy should be plying his trade in the main event scene, or simply working wonders with a variety of opponents on the under card.
