10 Reasons You Need To Be Excited For Dean Ambrose Vs Bray Wyatt

7. Bringing Mystery Back To Wrestling

For the past few years, WWE has been edging away from the €œreal person€ gimmicks they had through most of the 00s and they€™ve been heading back towards gimmick and character based wrestling. Once Johnny Curtis showed up on WWE TV as the flamboyant ballroom dancer Fandango, it was clear that WWE were less concerned about looking €œlegitimate€ as they had been for a while. NXT has proven to be a great testing ground for this sort of character. A few years ago, characters like Adam Rose, Tyler Breeze and The Vaudevillains would have been unimaginable on TV, but tastes have once again changed and fans are once again open to a bit more fiction in their wrestling. Therefore, it€™s the perfect time for Bray Wyatt to capitalise and lead the charge of this new type of storytelling. Wyatt€™s return at Hell in a Cell showed WWE€™s commitment to his supernatural side. When asked about what happened to Husky Harris, Wyatt replied €œHe needed me, and I needed a vessel€ and there have always been supernatural undercurrents to the Wyatt character. Now is the time to really commit to it and have a character as enduring as The Undertaker to WWE through the next ten - twenty years.
