10 Reasons You Need To Rediscover WWE

3. Paul Heyman

There have been some truly great promo guys in the business, men that have picked up the stick and entertained fans like few others ever could. Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Roddy Piper, Jake The Snake Roberts, CM Punk, each man made a huge impact not only on the business but on the mic as well. However, there is only one Paul Heyman and no one can do what he does. Heyman took an already very impressive career, full of future Hall of Fame moments and he somehow added yet another successful chapter. Many thought he was done with WWE when he left back in 2006 but when he returned in 2012, Heyman immediately upped the company's entertainment value. WWE is more fun and more watchable because Paul Heyman is on the air. Every time he talks, fans listen and they just cannot get enough of him. Heyman is one of the most talented storytellers the industry has ever seen and he is absolutely automatic every time he opens his mouth. He makes it look so easy and there is no doubting that Monday Night Raw is more entertaining because he's on the program. The truth is that Heyman can do anything; put him in any angle, any situation and he will deliver every time. His work with and against Punk is easily some of the best in his career and the company could move him on to anything right now, he would still be successful at it. Fans appreciate what he brings to the table and more importantly, they're willing to go on the ride with him. They may hate him but they also respect him because they know he has totally bought in to what WWE is doing. Paul Heyman could read the phone book on Raw and it would likely be the most entertaining segment on the program. That's how good he is and how valuable he is not only to the company but to the fans.
