10 Reasons No Way Out 2001 Is WWE's Greatest February PPV Ever

3. Stephanie McMahon vs. Trish Stratus

Vince McMahon's torrid affair with Trish Stratus led to bad blood between the blonde bombshell and Stephanie McMahon. Their budding rivalry erupted in January of 2001 when, at the Royal Rumble, the engaged in a catfight that had to be separated by the billionaire owner of WWE. It was an embarrassing moment for the most powerful man in sports entertainment, but hardly the last time he would be put between the beauties. With no peace in sight, the rivalry escalating with every passing week, a match between the two was booked for No Way Out. Neither woman was a trained wrestler, not at that point at least, so the expectations were fairly low. Not only did the women exceed expectations, they delivered a damn good wrestling match full of outstanding spots that popped the crowd. From Stephanie's powerbomb out of a head scissors to the action spilling outside the ring, the women busted their tails to deliver the best match imaginable. And then there was this:
William Regal ultimately interfered, as eluded to earlier, and cost Stratus the match after she slapped him in the face. It was a fitting conclusion to a match whose roots were steeped in soap opera-like drama.
