10 Reasons Ring Of Honor Is Still The Champion Of The Indies

Indie wrestling may be on the rise but ROH is still the place to go for the very best.

CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles. All wrestlers who have spent time in Ring of Honor and yet still only a fraction of the stars that have since made their way to WWE. ROH is one of the best producers of wrestling talent in the world, and it's what made them American's biggest indie promotion.

And yet, in recent years it feels like ROH's stock has begun to drop. There was a time when they were the cutting edge of wrestling. Now, an influx of brilliant indie companies has seen people move away from the original and to find pleasure elsewhere.

Which is great, the more wrestling promotions which are doing well, the better, but ROH is still there. And as anyone who watched All Star Extravaganza VIII can tell you, they are still raising the bar in 2016.

10. The Wrestling

It might seem simplistic but if you are trying to put together a good wrestling promotion the one thing you can’t do without is good wrestling. Well, Ring of Honor has it.

And it has it in all different styles and shapes as well. If you want to watch a giant of a man toss people around, then let us introduce you to Michael Elgin. Tag team wrestling? The Addiction, The Briscoes, War Machine and more make up one hell of a division, while TV Champion Bobby Fish is a brilliant technical wrestler.

Ring of Honor can do a bit of everything when it comes to work in the ring. While you could argue that that is the bare minimum you ask for from your wrestling promotions, you can trust that 99% of the time they’ll be blasting through that minimum and giving you a whole load more.
