2. 18 Seconds
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zF_kEtYlfBc This is probably the defining moment when the hate for Sheamus coalesced and reached a fever pitch. The opening match of WrestleMania XXVIII pitted Rumble winner Sheamus against World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan. Eighteen seconds after the bell rung, we had a new champion, a face who was soundly booed, and a defeated heel who would become the most over wrestler in the company. It felt like he was being shoehorned into the champs slot regardless of how well things were clicking with Bryan on top. This is a tough one to pin on Sheamus. The creative team booked the match to go that way, but theres no denying that this moment pretty much pissed off a large chunk of the fanbase for good with him. Since that fateful match, Sheamus has caught a lot of grief from hardcore fans. The feeling is that he gets put over talent he should be putting over, that he never really elevates anyone, and the unceremonious way he dethroned Bryan crystalized that feeling. In some ways, Sheamus has become a lot like someone else on the roster
