By the sheer virtue of his placement amongst the ordinary boys of SmackDown Live!, Shinsuke Nakamura will already lose much of the enigmatic glow around him, but that may be nothing compared to the inevitable end of his current undefeated streak.

It's so utterly disheartening to consider how things will look for the 'King of Strong Style' once he gets fed to some of his nearest rivals on the blue brand, with the character already proving challenging to book losses against during his brief stint in NXT.

Trading the title with Samoa Joe and losing conclusively to Bobby Roode took the shine off Shinsuke, despite both feuds and the subsequent matches telling logical, well thought out stories to justify his defeats. He's less likely to receive such grace on the main roster, with a match destined to end in an anaemic and anticlimactic fall that makes him look weak whilst simultaneously doing nothing for his victorious opponent.

Outside of AJ Styles and well-tenured stars such as Chris Jericho, nobody is immune to the damage done by the toxic philosophy over wins and losses, not least a character already exposed to careless creative handling like Nakamura.
