10. Sting Lost At WrestleMania 31

One of the most immediate factors to consider is Sting losing to Triple H at WrestleMania 31. What kind of message does that convey to the audience? It makes it look like Sting isn't up to WWE standards. If he can't hang tough with Triple H, what chance has he got against The Undertaker? That's a huge problem. The WWE would be booking a loser versus The Undertaker. They needed to be sending Sting in strong to the match, built up as a real contender. Now instead of being perceived as an "A guy" he's being perceived as a "B Guy", someone who is likely to do a job. Ironically, the reason Triple H was booked to defeat Sting was so that he'd look strong for a match with The Rock at Mania 32. That's priorities for you. Sting is left looking weak and the Taker match is undermined as a result.
