10 Reasons To Be Excited About Wrestle Kingdom 11
1. Tiger Mask W Confronts The Cleaner
The rumour mill is on overdrive with this one.
First of all we need to accept the commonly-held belief that the man operating as Tiger Mask W is in fact the immensely talented Kota Ibushi. He has stated on multiple occasions that his work with WWE was strictly temporary with no intention of going to NXT full-time, meaning his run of turning up wherever he likes in whatever guise he fancies will continue at the Tokyo Dome.
Then we need to believe that at the end of the event, Kenny Omega has either won or remained in the ring to steal the spotlight from Okada. Omega could very well win and lead a Bullet Club resurgence but he could also feasibly lay out the champion post-match in a fit of rage.
Either way, the crucial part is that Ibushi, having formally left the company in February, reveals himself and confronts his former partner, the man who betrayed him in order to make it to the top. It would be one of those true mark-out moments, like The Shield staring down The Wyatts. More importantly, if you add Ibushi into the mix when New Japan has more top talent than ever, you have a product that will not only get worldwide attention, but keep it.
