10 Reasons To Believe CM Punk Will Never Return To WWE

10. His Age Is Catching Up With His Wrestling Style

Punk turns 36 this October. By no means is this 'old', but in the world of wrestling, it's the age that injuries and problems can catch up with someone. Notably, someone with as diverse a range of styles as Punk - high-flying, technical, submission, brawler, muay Thai, even hardcore at times - can't sustain a career in the business for too long before the body just gives up. The mind might be in it, but for his own health and safety, he has to listen to his body. Daniel Bryan is only 33 and will have to drastically alter his moveset to accommodate his recent neck surgery. One of the biggest rumours around Punk's abrupt departure was that he was hurt. He's been injured before, and undergone surgery for a range of things, so it's entirely possible that he may have had problems again. The grueling schedule of a WWE main eventer can be unrelenting at best, while his aforementioned styles leave him more and more prone to injury, and pains only get worse with age. While there has been no real word on if this was a legitimate reason for his leaving, many have commented on Punk's physical appearance in recent public outings (such as ice hockey games and Walking Dead interviews), with most agreeing that he looks a lot healthier and well-rested than he has in years.
