10 Reasons To Love WWE Survivor Series

2. The Elimination Tag Format Is Timeless

The Royal Rumble has the 30-man battle royal, and Survivor Series has the traditional elimination tag team match. Even as the show format got away from heavily featuring the tag after the first five years, the writers still make sure to include at least one traditional elimination tag per show. The best part about the elimination tag is when each individual person singles out somebody on the other team to try and take out, mostly because they€™re involved in a feud with them. This brings to mind the 2007 elimination tag match, with Triple H, Kane, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy (who was taken out before the match) facing off against their rivals Umaga, Big Daddy V, Finlay, Mr. Kennedy and MVP respectively. The match had lost its luster for a while when WWE stupidly booked the Bragging Rights pay per view the month prior, which also featured an elimination tag. But that experiment only lasted two years, thankfully. This year, for the first time since 2005, the traditional elimination tag match will main event the show.
