10 Reasons To Stop Watching WWE

8. Triple H Versus Roman Reigns Is The Best WrestleMania Main Event They Could Manage?

It may not be official yet, but it's official - the main event of WrestleMania 32 is going to be Triple H versus Roman Reigns. Even trying to be diplomatic, this is one of the weakest 'Mania main events in a long, long time. The problem with the match is twofold - first, it's a foregone conclusion that Reigns is going to win. WWE has spent the past year-plus trying to make Roman Reigns their new top babyface, and a recent feud with The Authority has allowed the company to make strides in that area. Triple H has screwed him out of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship twice, and at WrestleMania, he'll finally get his revenge. The second part of the problem is that a win over Triple H has less cache than WWE thinks it does. There's nothing wrong with an obvious main event outcome in and of itself, but when there's so little to be gained, the stakes feel low. Triple H will be 47 later this year - he hasn't wrestled full-time since 2010 and he hasn't held the WWE Championship, prior to this reign, since 2009. He won't be defending the title at all between now and WrestleMania. He is, in effect, not a wrestler - he's an ex-wrestler, and so what does Reigns beating him really mean? Yes, WWE's upper card has been demolished by injury, but a more judicious use of talent could have meant that Kevin Owens or Dean Ambrose was ready for a spot opposite Roman Reigns. A better attitude toward talent coming from outside the company could have led to AJ Styles in the main event of the show. Despite all that, WWE felt that Triple H was the best choice to headline WrestleMania 32.
