10 Reasons Why Daniel Bryan Belongs On WWE's Mount Rushmore

5. THAT Talking Smack Segment With The Miz

There's a reason why fans were clamouring for WWE to bring back Talking Smack, that reason being segments like Daniel Bryan and The Miz's from the 23 August 2016 edition of the show.

You can easily argue that the confrontation was entirely carried by the latter, and technically speaking, you'd be correct. He went on a rant after Bryan noted how Miz supposedly wrestles like a coward, shouting down Daniel's throat to the extent that the former WWE Champion simply left the set of the show he was co-hosting with the then-Renee Young.

The entire thing was unscripted.

As much as this sounds like a moment of appraisal for the then-Intercontinental Champion, it is and isn't at the same time. He would have had no reason to go on the rant without those initial comments from Bryan. 'The American Dragon' was planting the seeds for a future programme with Miz because he knew then that he wasn't going to give up until every doctor told him he'd never wrestle again.

It's a shame that the 2018 rivalry was so dull because this was truly captivating viewing. It put Talking Smack on the map, doing so while proving it doesn't take much to catch fans' attention.
