10 Reasons Why Dolph Deserved His Demotion

8. He's Too Good At Bumping

It's clear that, more so than Rick Rude, Ziggler took a hefty amount of inspiration from Curt 'Mr. Perfect' Hennig. With his wet bleached blonde curls and massive bumping style, it's a wonder Ziggler wears long tights and not Hennig's trademark black and luminous yellow singlet.

The big bumping style is incredibly entertaining and psychologically sound; by throwing himself around the ring with reckless abandon, Ziggler ensures all of his opponents look fabulous. The problem is that he's spent so long perfecting the art that it's come to define him; Ziggler, ultimately, is little more than the guy who is the best at falling down.

Terry Funk once told new talent to not get 'too good at doing jobs'. Ziggler should have heeded this warning and created more balance within his routine. It would be wrong to state that his offence looks weak - he delivers his moves with intensity, even if he comes across as like female tennis player with his shrieking - but it hardly looks as devastating as the moves he takes.

The Zig-Zag is a perfect example of this. As much as he screams upon delivery, he's ostensibly throwing himself and his opponent to the mat with an equal amount of force.
