John Cena is highly regarded by his peers, fellow legends and fans alike as a superb main event wrestler.

AJ Styles raves about him. It's as if an indisputable body of work renders the wrestler who amassed it indisputable. Yes, John Cena's STF is more loving embrace than painful submission finisher - but he's been at the top level longer than anybody! Yes, John Cena's bumping style is often awkward - but he's been at the top level longer than anybody! Yes, John Cena's selling ranges from hysterical to nonexistent - but he's been at the top level longer than anybody!

Cena, in terms of box office pull and workrate, is about a seven in each category - but, since he remains the biggest star in all of pro wrestling, a seven is now rounded up to a 10, distorting the metric of greatness in the process. Imperfect is now legendary.

John Cena is a flawed pro wrestler. Insidiously, he has climbed or is climbing towards Mount Rushmore.
