10 Reasons Why Sting vs. Seth Rollins Is Bad For Business

9. Because Finn Balor Deserves An Opportunity

It's clear that WWE is using Night of Champions as a placeholder show before getting to the business of setting up Cena and Rollins for longer-term business. If this is the case, then using NXT champion Finn Balor in the place of Sting is a worthwhile idea. Had WWE not already used Sting at Wrestlemania, seeing Sting revealed on Monday night wouldn't have been so "meh." However, what if the reveal occurred, and there was Finn Balor in the "Demon" makeup, coldly staring down Seth Rollins while wearing the NXT Championship? That's a whole different angle. The response people would've had in that building, on that night for that angle would've been amazing. Balor vs. Rollins in a one-off where Balor would be doing it "with nothing to lose, and just to see if he could win" would be awesome. Three weeks of Balor showcase matches on TV and three weeks of Rollins trying to one-up him would be fun. For the finish of the match, doing some sort of quick rollup pinfall with tights by Rollins where he then scoots out of Dodge alive works, too. Balor deserves some spotlight, and would likely get a better response (and just as many Network subscriptions) as Sting in this era, too.
