6. Savio Vega

Speaking of Savio, the highlight of his WWE career came at the 1995 King Of The Ring. Unfortunately for Savio, in June of '95, WWE had a number of top-tier babyface talents on the roster.

Despite advertising Diesel, Shawn, Bret, Undertaker, and Razor for the show, WWE thought that the vocal Philly crowd would rally behind...Savio Vega?!

That's right, despite first appearing in WWE just one month earlier, the newcomer was given the biggest babyface push of the evening when he wrestled in 4 matches throughout the course of the evening.

Even with the rub of Razor Ramon as Savio's cornerman, the Philly fans just weren't buying it.

Savio hadn't been established enough to the WWE audience for the fans to accept him in that spot. Obviously, this was WWE's attempt at turning that around and getting him over, but with the level of competition on the babyface side of the roster, Savio Vega was never going to fill that role.

Don't get me wrong, fans did root for Savio over Mabel in the tournament finals, but it was a "lesser of two evils" type situation since, by then, the crowd had emotionally checked out.
