10 Reasons Why The 1995 King Of The Ring Is WWE's Worst PPV Ever

4. Tatanka & Bam Bam Bigelow: Main-Eventers

In addition to the show's main event not featuring a WWE Championship defense, it also featured two WWE superstars that had primarily performed in the mid-card throughout their careers.

Say what you want about Diesel's run with the WWE Title, but fans saw him as a legit headliner. The same can also be said for Sid. Going back to his first run with the company (that ended in 1992), Sid was a monster heel that fans accepted as true main-event talent.

Diesel and Sid fit the bill and it was their tag team partners that brought the main event perception down.

Despite wrestling in the main event of WrestleMania XI against former NFL linebacker Lawrence Taylor, Bam Bam Bigelow was an upper mid-card guy at best. Incredibly talented, especially for a big man, Bigelow had lost to a blown up LT at Mania and then had been kicked out of the Million Dollar Corporation, not exactly the way to build a new main eventer.

Tatanka was no better since, despite a two year undefeated streak that ended in late '93, the Native American was perceived solely as a mid-card wrestler.

The involvement of Tatanka and Bigelow in the main event significantly brought down the card and it's no coincidence this would be the duo's final appearance in any WWE main event.
