2. Too Much Attention Is Being Paid To Other Areas
You only need to look at the success of Total Divas to see that wrestling, in one form or another, still works in 2015. However, it seems that the week-to-week product that we all bare witness to is playing second fiddle the likes of Total Divas and the work being put into the WWE Network. This may not be happening at all of course (you would expect WWE to have enough people employed to deal with the every show they have in production) but it certainly feels like they are putting their bread and butter on the back-burner. Maybe WWE should use Eric Bischoff's old mantra for WCW whereby he garnered everything into getting the highest possible rating each and every Monday night - with the rest of the product taking a backseat - to see better results. Of course giving everything away for free instead of saving some things for pay per view contributed to the demise of WCW, but with WWE being the only mainstream show in town surely they can afford to take such risks. It would be interesting to see how more title matches and the like would affect ratings each week.
