10 Reasons Why WWE Needs To Fundamentally Change Everything About The TV Product

Other than Roman Reigns, is there any performer within the full-time ranks whom WWE has bothered to condition us to take seriously?

Randy Orton has been protected as far as wins and losses go, but then, he's the WWE Champion. Braun Strowman has been booked as an unstoppable force of nature since WrestleMania, save for that ridiculous Kalisto fiasco - which just confirmed that either a) Strowman is an idiot for walking a*se-backwards into a dumpster or b) wins and losses don't matter, in which case, what are any of us doing here?

WWE has already lost interest in Bray Wyatt as a proper headliner. After that WrestleMania match, you can't blame them. Finn Bálor isn't getting the protection he was afforded last summer. WWE doesn't seem to know who out of Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe is truly the better man, which rather defeats the purpose of the concept of a wrestling rivalry.

Over on SmackDown, AJ Styles was fodder for Jinder Mahal this week. Kevin Owens lost cleanly to Chris Jericho at Payback for reasons yet to be adequately explained. Yes, it was a shock - but so is your beloved family pet passing away in the night. Not all surprises are good.

What's happening, all over again, is a continuation of the John Cena strategy. McMahon doesn't care about anything underneath Reigns or Orton, with everybody kept strong and or weak in a case of Schrödinger's push, let out of the box only when it's time for the top men to feed.

It doesn't matter what happens to them in the interim - so why should anybody be expected to truly care?
