10 Reasons Why WWE SmackDown Is Better Than Raw

6. The Miz Vs. Dolph Ziggler

Believe it or not, in a year that saw AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura debut in WWE, the company's most compelling feud has been one between The Miz and Dolph Ziggler.

As Intercontinental Champion, The Miz was already doing his best work in years before the brand split even happened, but after moving to SmackDown, he got a higher level of emphasis as the show's only secondary champion. Dolph, meanwhile, floundered - his becoming the number one contender to Dean Ambrose's WWE Title seemed like a move borne from a weak roster, and even though he promised to win the belt, nobody was surprised when he lost.

After that, Dolph became Daniel Bryan's proxy in a feud with The Miz, and it felt like something we'd all seen before - until Dolph really started to get impassioned. The Miz took to insulting his entire career, and with Dolph on the defensive, he started to do his best work in years. Miz managed to avoid losing his belt by hook or crook, but in an excellent match at No Mercy, Dolph - who had put his career on the line - managed to get the win. The rivalry continues.

The feud has been compelling for weeks - and what more can you say about a program that led to the organic reintroduction of The Spirit Squad?
