4. Tag Team Wrestling Matters

Of course it matters. Tag team wrestling is the second-most integral branch of professional wrestling after only the most basic of one-on-one matches.

But when has it mattered, to such a consistently lovable degree, in North America?

WWE places little-to-no emphasis on the style, meaning that when they do produce a quote-unquote 'banger' of a tag team match, it's deemed the greatest thing the company has ever done. AEW is marginally better at the style, but there have been droughts at points; Jurassic Express' poignant win was just that. Their run as champions was nothing if not underwhelming.

Of the two, it's AEW that is closely resembled by IMPACT Wrestling. Tag team wrestling has always been a consummate aspect in the group, dating back to The Motor City Machine Guns, America's Most Wanted, and Triple X's epics, but it's a division now rich in style, grace, and finesse.

The doubles division, as of submission, is headed up by Ace Austin and Chris Bey, acting almost as definitive proof of IMPACT hosting an affluent tag team scene. Separately, they were both modernistic X division pioneers whose work constantly grabbed headlines for their transformative take on pro wrestling that made peak-TNA AJ Styles look like a chump. Together, though, they're a constant highlight, balancing their respective styles to create a seductive, alluring presence as the kingpins of tag team wrestling in IMPACT.
