10 Reasons Why You Need To Watch IMPACT Wrestling Right Now
2. Everyone Has A Voice
IMPACT Wrestling, per Wikipedia (so take this with as much salt as you like), currently boasts a roster of 67 individuals - and you can name a storyline that almost all of them are involved in. Rich Swann? He's chasing the World Tag Team Championships with Sami Callihan. Killer Kelly? She and Masha Slamovich have formed an unholy alliance to take down The Coven. Lio Rush? Though only recently joining the roster on a seemingly full-time basis, he's after Chris Sabin's X Division Championship.
What has intrinsically been a WWE and AEW problem is a benefit to IMPACT Wrestling. The group understands the concept of having a bloated roster and making it work. They don't need to keep Johnny Swinger and Zicky Dice on television but if they can find a way to do so that elicits some kind of emotion from the viewer, they will.
For comparison - again, per Wikipedia - WWE has 128 wrestlers across Raw, SmackDown, and free agency alone, but what was the last thing Tegan Nox did of note? Where's Dolph Ziggler been? Is Eric Young still under contract? Christ, there are numerous NXT call-ups yet to be fully called up: Odyssey Jones, Xyon Quinn, and Von Wagner are yet to properly debut.
It's a waste of talent and money. IMPACT would have Odyssey wrecking fools quicker than WWE could write an episode of Raw.
