10 Reasons Why You Should Cancel Your WWE Network Subscription
7. Revisionist History
The WWE network is simply another opportunity for WWE to start producing their trademark alternative history of the Attitude Era, and to promote the idea that Vince McMahon never did a bad thing in his life, and WCW were pretty much the antichrist. There has been no better example of this than the recent train wreck that was the Monday Night Wars documentary series that has been screening on the network. The Monday Night Wars series was a joke. It was simply a slickly produced, WWE filtered version of the events that went on, and it was just repetitive myths told over and over and over again. If youve seen any WWE produced narrative of the Monday Night Wars then youve already seen the show. It just stretches the misinformation out for longer, and pads out the same information over and over again across multiple episodes, rather than trying to do something new with the story. There are plenty of alternative avenues for finding out about the Monday Night Wars both in visual form, and in written form. If you want to get the scoop on the Monday Night Wars youre better to get it from those that were there at the time through the major catalogue of shoot interviews online or first-hand accounts. Because with all due respect to the man, Dolph Ziggler wasnt actually there, so his opinions dont really mean a hell of a lot.
