The Triple Threat match between Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks to crown a WWE women's champion not only lived up to sizable expectations, it changed the way fans perceive female Superstars.

"Divas Revolution" felt like a buzz word, a marketing term used to describe the company's sudden interest in women's wrestling. Most expected the excitement surrounding the blossoming division to return to irrelevance after a few weeks but, instead, the women began experiencing increased television time and, upon arriving to Dallas for Sunday's extravaganza, realized the enormity of their role in the future of WWE when they saw their faces front and center on the front of AT&T Stadium.

Banks, Lynch and Charlotte's likenesses were plastered all over marketing materials and merchandise so it went without saying that they were facing a tremendous amount of pressure as they took to the squared circle Sunday.

They lived up to the even the loftiest of expectations, delivering a match that was rife with crowd-pleasing spots, encouraging in-ring psychology and a finish that allows the feud to continue.

The prize attained by Charlotte only helped firmly establish women's wrestling as a major part of modern WWE.

More on that reward in a moment.
