10 Reasons WrestleMania 32 Changed Everything
4. Roman Reigns: The Face Of WWE
Love it or hate it, Roman Reigns is officially the face of WWE following his victory over Triple H for the world heavyweight championship in the main event of WrestleMania 32.
WWE had worked for two years to get Reigns to that position, overcoming roadblocks and injuries to finally establish him as competition to John Cena for the all-important "franchise" tag. There was the predictable resistance, with fans mercilessly booing the decision but, like pulling off a Band-Aid, was necessarily to move beyond and create anew.
It remains to be seen what kind of face Reigns will be. It is almost unfathomable that WWE can continue down the current path without doing something drastic to affect the responses greeting the second-generation star is subjected to every time he enters an arena.
Whether that means developing his character, turning him heel or creating a bad guy so despicable that fans would rather see Reigns beat him than boo him, is a question WWE Creative will have to answer going forward.
For now, though, there is no denying that Reigns has finally taken his spot atop the WWE mountain and will be the face of Vince McMahon's promotion for the foreseeable future.
Come hell, high water or negative fan sentiment.
