10 Reasons WrestleMania 32 Changed Everything

2. A New Attendance Record

For 29 years, WWE touted WrestleMania III as its premiere event, primarily because of the 93,173 fans (give or take a few thousand, depending on whose numbers you believe) in attendance.

Sunday night, the company obliterated that record, drawing 101,763 to suburban Dallas' AT&T Stadium.

By the time the fans finally had the opportunity to make it to their seats and WWE shot the stadium from overhead, the audience was greeted to an image unlike anything they had ever seen before. It was a mass of people, all wrestling fans looking to experience the Showcase of the Immortals in person, living the moment just feet from their favorite Superstars.

The incredible view of the massive stadium helped lend credibility to the enormity of the event.

As much time as WWE spent hyping the event, and as many in the company towed the company line about the glitz and grandeur of the show, the sheer amount of people that flooded into the stadium served as proof positive.

Love or hate everything that went down Sunday night, the company now has a new record it can beat into the heads of the audience and updated imagery it can use to tout the enormous success of its WrestleMania brand.
