10 Reasons WrestleMania 32 Could Be Dropped From WWE Network

10. The UFC Example

The reason that WWE brought in the WWE Network was because they thought that the pay per view business model was dead. They were wrong. Pay per view isn't dead, it was just that WWE had failed to create star draws. If a talent was over enough, pay per view would still have worked for WWE. A perfect example is Ronda Rousey in the UFC. She's a star, she's over with the fans, and her pay per view numbers do 400,000 to 600,000 buys. Overall, the UFC still regularly posts solid pay per view numbers. WWE could have done the same if they had created stars. At WrestleMania 32, they will have stars, calling on the past and part timers to present a card that will draw. In maximising the financial gain, it would make sense for WWE to resurrect the PPV model and shut the Network coverage down for one night only.
