10 Reasons WrestleMania 33 Will Be Better Than 32
6. The Brand Split
The brand split seems to have done what we had all hoped it would: it opened up room for overlooked and underappreciated wrestlers to carve out a more meaningful role in the company. Both of the shows' top champions are guys that would have had trouble topping Reigns or Rollins (in the company's eyes) under normal circumstances, but the brand split threw the normal WWE structure into flux.
The brand split's role in WrestleMania 33 will be the competition it creates between the brands. It would be difficult to fool the average fan into thinking Raw and SmackDown were actually in direct competition with one another, but when WM 33 rolls around WWE will have to choose between two of everything. In other words, will the Universal Championship feud deserve the main event spot over the WWE Championship feud?
Will the Raw women create more buzz than the SmackDown women, thus earning a higher spot on the card? Will the IC or US Titles warrant a featured singles match or a multi-man pre-show affair? This is as close to real competition as the brands will get as the stakes are as real as can be.
