10 Reasons WWE Are Struggling Without Brock Lesnar

2. Nobody Has Picked Up The Ball

Lesnar going away for a while was the opportunity for someone in WWE to pick up the ball and run with it. Sometimes you can't blame WWE or Lesnar, you instead have to say that the fault in the current product is a lack of "grabbing the brass ring" as Vince McMahon would put it. The brass ring comment was in truth a piece of nonsense from the befuddled chairman, but there's definitely been a vacuum created by Lesnar's departure. A WWE superstar could have at least tried to fill it. Seth Rollins is the only one who has really stepped up his game, but that's mainly down to having the WWE title and earning the trust of management. Seth's always been a great worker, it isn't as if he's a revelation in the role. We knew he was fantastic. What WWE needs is a wrestler who goes out there and becomes the next Brock Lesnar. When you consider how the MMA aspect is so vital to Lesnar's game, it's amazing right now how few other wrestlers are working that MMA hard hitting style into their own work.
