10 Reasons WWE Champion Randy Orton Should Have Been Fired Years Ago

2. Threat To Senate Campaign

In 2010 and again in 2012, Linda McMahon ran for Senate in the state of Connecticut. While the reasons for her failing to win a seat are likely many, her involvement with WWE and the track record of her employees played a role. Even if we cannot prove that Wellness violations and unprofessional conduct directly affected her chances, I suspect employees like Orton made a lot more work for her PR and legal teams. Why keep someone on the payroll who is so high maintenance and does not demonstrate the values of your company? Not only is Orton a highly-paid employee, but these Senate campaigns cost millions of dollars. If you're going to go through all the trouble of running an expensive campaign and turning your company into a PG-rated entity, why would you retain (and FEATURE) a repeat-offender bad boy, who seems to only act upon his own whims?
