10 Reasons Why WWE Creative Is Nuts

9. Long Term Planning Isn't Great

"Wrestler A beats Wrestler B. Okay. And then what?" It's the "and then what" part that WWE has trouble with. For this example, let's take a look at the Prime Time Players. They were made up Titus O'Neil and Darren Young. They never won the tag team titles and were never really that close to them. Why? Not sure. It seemed like they were popular enough with the crowd that they could have been tag team champions, but it didn't happen. The duo split up after O'Neil went heel by turning on Young. It was totally random. They didn't really tease dissention leading up to it or anything like that. It was a guy that just wanted to beat up his partner just because they lost a match. They had a match at Elimination Chamber. O'Neil won clean. Since then, he's become just another heel that's lost in the midcard while Young has been buried even deeper. What was the point of the split if they had absolutely no plans for either guy? It makes no sense. The tag division could use some teams. The Prime Time Players could have been a successful team for years if they stayed together. Instead, both guys are going to be hurt by their breakup. That's just one example of a recent storyline that had absolutely no long term planning behind it.
