10 Reasons WWE Fans Should Be Worried About Brand Split 2016
7. Potentially Unwanted Returns
Fortunately, WWE seems to realise that they don’t have enough main roster talent to pad two distinct shows out.
Unfortunately, reports point towards them bringing in a slew of 40+ year-olds to make-up the numbers.
While it’d be fun to see the likes of Kurt Angle and Trish Stratus return for a couple of brief, nostalgic runs, does anybody really want to see Tommy Dreamer and Ezekiel Jackson wrestle an 8-minute Smackdown match in 2016? Is anyone clamouring to see Carlito or Chris Masters return to sully the good work done by Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Cesaro in WWE’s midcard scene?
Regrettably, WWE’s inability to create new stars in 2016 means we’re almost certain to see such returns, and that’s disappointing.
