5. No Wrestling Ability

Amanda and Trish Stratus both had limited wrestling ability when signing with WWE. Quite frankly, Mandy looked abysmal during her in-ring work on Tough Enough. As for Stratus, she had a very basic wrestling experience and knowledge from the local Toronto scene, but it wasn't like she was a pro wrestler when WWE picked her up. It would be a few years before she really became competent in the ring in WWE. Amanda and Trish sharing characteristics of no ring ability when starting maybe isn't ideal when you first think about it, but Stratus proved that a blank canvas and learning the WWE way on the job can be a very productive way of doing things. WWE will see that same blank canvas with Amanda, and view it an opportunity to mould the perfect WWE diva.
