10 Reasons WWE Loyalists Should Give AEW A Chance
9. Tag Team Wrestling
WWE have some absolute world beating tag teams in their stacked roster. Sadly, Vince McMahon would rather put a title on a child than book them properly. Literally. Then he let The B Team have a go.
McMahon’s strange aversion to his own doubles division has been to the detriment of tag team specialists for decades now. It’s why The Revival asked for their release while still in their ring gear. It’s also why that same gear now bears a hashtag that may or may not stand for “Forever The Revival.”
Unsurprisingly with The Young Bucks as Executive Vice Presidents, AEW have put tag team wrestling front and centre of their product. Their approach to tag team wrestling isn’t above subjective criticism. Tag rules are loosely and inconsistently implemented. Nonetheless teams like SCU and The Lucha Bros. are given a decent amount of TV time to shine in blistering matches. Also, unlike in WWE, the tag titles feel important. Is that so much to ask, Vince?
