10 Reasons WWE Owes Triple H

4. NXT Was His Idea

As an extension of that point, Triple H treats NXT like his own pet project. The differences in taste between 'The Game' and Vince McMahon become even more clear when exploring the contrast between the main roster and the developmental brand. NXT is a show which rewards patience with great in-ring moments, and features clear character lines between babyface and heel. On the flip side, even Triple H has been sucked into the trap of switching crudely between 'good' and 'bad' on shows like Raw and Smackdown. McMahon clearly agrees that Triple H has great ideas, but he wanted to see what he could do away from the main roster for the time being. Thus far, his NXT experiment has been an incredible success. It's unthinkable to imagine OVW (a previous developmental system for WWE) drawing crowds for standalone events in London, England, for example. NXT has achieved that, and there are hopes that the brand will continue to develop nicely in 2016. NXT garners a lot of praise from all corners of the wrestling world, and it shouldn't be forgotten that it's Triple H who calls the shots down there.
