By all means, Chris Jericho's encounter with Jack Swagger should not have worked in any fashion. With the American-born Canadian in Jericho playing the heel role and blatantly insulting other fellow Canadians, it made no sense for a Swagger, WWE's poster child for American patriotism, to be booked as the man fans could vicariously live through. It's a testament to how good both performers are in the ring to gain the crowd's attention nevertheless, especially Jack Swagger who has struggled to gain any prominent TV time in the past year.
