10 Reasons You Should Give WWE NXT Another Chance
1. It's Bascially The Main Roster
The constant use of the word developmental throughout this article won't please WWE, who insist that NXT is on the same level as Raw and Smackdown. So much so that there are slowing moulding NXT in the main roster without even realising.
Let's take the most recent example of The Judgement Day. "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, currently listed as a Raw Superstar, is the defending North American Champion after ending Wes Lee's phenomenal reign last month and is touring all three brands with the title in tow. On the other hand, Finn Balor is coming off the back of a mini back and forth with NXT Champ Carmelo Hayes while Rhea Ripley involved herself in the business of Lyra Valkyria. However, JD aren't the only ones who have walked through the Performance Center doors as of late.
AJ Styles, Natalya, Johnny Gargano, Santos Escobar, Ricochet, Seth "Freakin" Rollins, Damage CTRL, and Rey Mysterio have all had short stints in NXT while Dolph Ziggler, Apollo Crews, Jinder Mahal, and The New Day have enjoyed lengthier stays in Orlando. The point being a lot of what happens in NXT has a direct impact on Raw and Smackdown and vice-versa and that is exactly what the company wants.
The longer WWE's push for NXT to be looked at as the legitimate third brand, the more you have to tune in to NXT week in week out to keep tabs on your favourites stories.
