6. Nikki A.S.H. Doesn't Click Post-Cash-In
Producing a set of pops to rival just about anything WWE had served up since welcoming back their much-missed audience into stateside arenas, a character that looked destined to flounder somehow managed to inspire waves of genuine support... for about five minutes.
Cashing in her Money in the Bank contract, won the night before at the rampant titular Premium Live Event, WWE couldn't believe their luck as their resident wannabe superhero Nikki A.S.H. erupted the Monday Night Raw crowd on the back of seizing the red brand's Women's Championship off of Charlotte Flair.
Yet, the bloom quickly came off this Rosey-lite as fans soon remembered that, outside of a few well-crafted "moments", WWE hadn't done all that much to convince them of A.S.H.'s upper-card credibility. And it wasn't too long before the likes of Rhea Ripley and the aforementioned Queen were nudged back into the spotlight instead.
Said rejection from the WWE Universe would open the door for an equally disappointing heel turn down the line, and what now appears to be a rethink of the Almost a Superhero experiment as Cross looks poised to "start taking things more seriously".
