The sports entertainment fans love to see the retired WWE Superstars come back to the squared circle and wrestle one more match, don't they? In the world of professional wrestling, there is no such thing as retirement as a wrestler can come out of retiral if both the parties involved come down to a mutual agreement. Last year, the fans witnessed the grand return of Batista, who wanted to end his career on his terms, and he did so with a stellar bout against Triple H at WrestleMania 35.
Often the in-ring stars end their career because of their injury concerns or a lack of creative satisfaction. The Superstars of the second category have the option of switching to other companies. But, they find it hard to gain big contracts from the owners of wrestling companies other than Vince McMahon.
The superannuated class of legends prefers to stay in the spotlight with some controversial statements during their interviews. Some of them have even expressed coming out of post-work years, for one more match, if the WWE Creative team approves their storyline idea. Here's a look at the ten ex-in-ring technicians and who they want to face after coming back to the ring.
10. Enzo Amore - Kurt Angle
One of the most controversial characters in WWE history, Enzo Amore, once held the Cruiserweight Championship in the company. He was a part of the tag team division, along with his buddy Big Cass, for a long time. Unfortunately, his misbehavior and legal issues compelled Vince McMahon to fire him from his organization.
He then became a part of the independent circuit before switching to the world of pop, where he is known as nZo. However, he once teased coming out of retirement for a match with the former RAW General Manager, Kurt Angle. The ex-Superstar has deleted that Instagram post now, where he had seemingly asked North East Wrestling promoter Mikey Lombardi to book a match between Enzo and Angle.
