10 Rey Mysterio Matches We Must See In 2016

6. Prince Puma/Richochet

In the world of professional wrestling, it seems that The Rock is the man for everyone to be jealous of but begrudgingly love at the same time. In the independent wrestling world, the man taking that mantle is Ricochet. The man known as Prince Puma in Lucha Underground is one of those irritating performers who makes everything look disgracefully easy, whilst looking disgracefully good at the same time. Puma was the Lucha Underground champion for the majority of the first season, defending the title against a variety of opponents until he came up short against Mil Muertes at Ultima Lucha. Where Puma goes in the second season remains to be seen, but a dream match up against Rey Mysterio is surely on the cards. Similarly to Jack Evans, Ricochet/Prince Puma is one of the modern high flyers who has taken it on a step further from Rey's trailblazing in the early 1990s. Another master/student type battle awaits.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
