Just so we're all on the same page here: this is the least ridiculous comic on this list, and it's about retired WWE Diva Sable as a superhero called The 10th Muse, who discovers she is descended from a Greek god. Written by comics legend Marv Wolfman, the series depicts the story of a character modelled after Sable who, digging into Greek mythology in a way a former professional wrestler would, finding out that she is herself a myth. There are nine documented muses, the daughters of the almighty Zeus (he really got around), and it turns out she's the tenth. Which has the added benefit of cool lightning-based superpowers with which she does battle against the forces of evil, because what else are you gonna do with lightning-based superpowers? Provide a clean energy alternative? Make passers-by's hair go all static-y like when you rub balloons on it? Actually, those both sound pretty good. But that wasn't on the cards for the 10th Muse, at least up until 2009's Tenth Muse 800 which dropped Sable as the model for the titular character. Booooo.
