10 Ring Of Honor Wrestlers WWE Fans Need To Discover

10. Silas Young

A veteran of 13 years, Silas Young describes himself as 'The Last Real Man in Professional Wrestling'. The nickname isn't a stretch, either, as Young pretty much exudes 'old time sleazy man' from every pore. I mean, just look at the guy. Despite looking like the darker side of the 1970s, Young's offence is surprisingly energetic and flashy. Watching him and observing his gimmick you'd think it would be all grappling and chinlocks, but you'd be wrong. For a long time he has used a move called the 'Pee Wee Gaja Plunge', which is a rolling senton (complete with flashy pop up) followed by a headstand on the turnbuckle into a split-legged moonsault. The move doesn't fit the character at all, but it still works and is an impressive sight. Silas has been embroiled in a feud with his polar opposite Dalton Castle (more on him later) for a while now. Whilst I would be shocked to see Mr Young turn up in NXT any time soon, there will always be a place for old fashioned tough dudes on a wrestling roster.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
