10 Roster Trades WWE MUST Make In 2021
6. Cesaro To NXT
Cesaro has done this before. In the pre-TakeOver era of NXT television, Cesaro came to NXT from the main roster and had transformative masterpieces with Sami Zayn, matches that helped define the black and yellow brand as something more than just another FCW. These were the bricks that laid the foundation for brilliance to come in the years since.
In 2019, he came back to NXT (in its UK form) for a one-off match with Ilja Dragunov at TakeOver: Cardiff, which was absolutely exceptional: a match that put over Dragunov as a top star despite a loss and one that cemented Cesaro's reliability as the best star-makers in WWE.
Cesaro's greatest work has a mythical quality around it. When booked right, he comes across as genuinely unstoppable and dangerous beyond belief. His matches with Zayn are so miraculous because you're constantly in awe that Zayn can even stand after receiving Cesaro's devastating offence, let alone keep fighting back.
NXT understands his specific skills better than any other show in WWE, and putting the NXT Championship on him for a few months to help elevate everyone in the division would be brilliant for everyone.
