The Screw Up: Amidst the chaos of what was supposed to be a routine Raw vs. SmackDown brawl to promote Survivor Series on the 12 November 2018 edition of Raw, Nia Jax aimed an errant punch at Becky Lynch. Her fist connected, resulting in a broken nose, severely bruised face and concussion for the flame-haired babyface.

WWE didn't shy away from the blood like they usually have in the modern era.

The Moment: After being legitimately stiffed in the face by Nia, a defiant Becky stood in the stands and jawed off at her Raw enemies. The powerful visual of a bloodied-up Lynch closing the show became iconic, and it definitely helped sell her as the leader of the women's division.

By boldly wiping off blood and still showing she was eager to fight even when visibly injured, Becky cemented her status as 'The Man' with one post-brawl snarl. Jax' clumsy strike, which was a complete accident, did more to help Lynch's cause than any planned WWE booking could.
