10 Secret Debuts Of Famous Wrestlers
3. Maryse
A product of WWE's disastrous Diva Search era that worked incredibly hard at her in-ring and promo skills to be thought of as more than just that unfair stereotype, Maryse was - and perhaps this was key to her success - a wrestling fan too.
Coincidentally, the evidence exists on a 2005 edition of Monday Night Raw that crowned the late Ashley Massaro as the second winner of the aforementioned $250,000 contest. The future DIvas Champion wouldn't take her place in the process for another year, but Kevin Dunn's eagle (and, upon catching her, probably popped out of his socket) eyes find her in amongst the throngs cheering when John Cena makes his entrance.
In the brief cut, she looks to be a big fan of 'The Champ', but some of her best work ultimately came ripping the p*ss out of him - Miz and Maryse's "Total Bella Bullsh*t" skits ahead of WrestleMania 33 were funnier than just about every promo 'Big Match John's cut during that original run.
